The Practice of Safeguarding
In our experience, effective safeguarding practice rests on three core intentions:

2. To prevent the impairment of their mental and physical health and development.
3. To take action to enable all people to have the best outcomes in learning, in work and in life.

Our Products and Services
Our product and service range is designed to deliver a Total Safeguarding approach and includes:
• MyConcern for the easy recording, case management and analysis of safeguarding of concerns about victims and perpetrators.
• Confide for logging and managing safeguarding concerns about staff and volunteers.
• Sentry for safer recruitment and pre-employment vetting of staff – a critical first line of defence against predators seeking access to children or vulnerable adults.
• Clarity for data analysis across multiple settings such as schools in Multi Academy Trusts and Local Authority Groups and between multiple agencies partners.
• Mentor for CPD accredited safeguarding courses and specialist support services designed and delivered by our safeguarding professionals
Customers
We have over 5,200 separate organisations in more than 30 countries across five continents using our products and services. These customers are those who experience most of the challenges of Safeguarding in Nurseries, Primary and Secondary Schools, Further and Higher Education, Sports organisations, Training organisations, YMCAs and social housing providers, Faith and charitable organisations.
Independent Safeguarding Advisory Board
Our Safeguarding Advisory board is comprised of leading subject matter experts in safeguarding who will advise and support the company with their in-depth knowledge across all sectors that we serve. The expertise and insight the board provides ensures that the latest innovations and developments across the world of safeguarding, both from the UK and abroad, are used to inform the development of our products and services and support that we provide for our customers.
The Safeguarding Company History
The Safeguarding Company was founded by Martin Baker QPM and Mike Glanville who prior to founding the company worked together for eight years as Chief Constable and Assistant Chief Constable (Operations) of Dorset Police. They are also both school governors and between them have over 75 years’ experience in safeguarding children and adults at risk. They formed the company in 2014 with their fellow founder and director, Darryl Morton, who leads the software development and information security arrangements for the company.
